I have been going to this camp for the past 15 years. This year the camp was sold and new hosts were on board. Bob the new host promptly met us at the dock, loaded our gear and unloaded us on the brand new aluminum dock at the camp. While heading to the cabin we met Bob’s wife Trish who explained to us that if we had forgotten anything or needed any cooking supplies that she would accommodate us with anything she had in the kitchen. She also let us know that she would wash any clothes if needed. Although Bob and Peg were great hosts we had never received this kind of treatment. Once arriving at our clean cabin. We quickly got unpacked and headed down to the lodge to pick up our fishing tackle that Bob and Peg had stored for us which is also an awesome perk which saves money and wear and tear on your equipment. We then headed down to the dock to our boat which was the best boat that I have ever used in Canada. It had all the amenities. A 60 Horse engine, live well, tons of storage, a remote control trolling motor with GPS and a Garmin fish finder with GPS which would be a must have for someone new fishing in the area. We had a party of four and could easily fish out of this boat. After a great evening of fishing we returned with some nice pike and filleted them headed back to our cabin. On the way past the lodge Trish ask us if we would like for her to vacuum pack our fish. If you are a hunter or a fisherman that is the only way to go. That’s a few examples of some of the new amenities available with the new owners and hosts at Whitefish Bay Camp. As long as Bob and Trish are there we will be a return customers. The scenery and sunsets are pluses too!!!
